When it comes to data centers, they not only need to be a lot faster and more scalable, but they also need to be much more energy efficient. Especially when it comes to the cloud and cloud based backup, archive, and cold storage where data is infrequently accessed. If data is infrequently accessed, why have it on hard drives that are spinning at full power?
